Quilted Stainless Steel Sheets

Quilted stainless steel sheets, also known as embossed or patterned stainless steel sheets, are decorative metal panels formed with raised geometric textures such as quilt, diamond, leather, water ripple, and checker patterns.
They are widely used in architectural decoration, wall cladding, elevator interiors, ceilings, and furniture panels.

Main Manufacturing Process

1. Base Material Selection

Most quilted stainless steel sheets are produced from:

• 304 / 304L – general decorative use

• 316 / 316L – high corrosion resistance

• 430 – cost-effective indoor decoration

Common base finishes: 2B, BA, or No.4.

2. Surface Cleaning & Leveling

The flat sheet is degreased, leveled, and polished to ensure:

• uniform surface

• no scratches

• stable embossing quality

3. Hydraulic Embossing (Roll Pressing)

A hydraulic rolling embossing machine presses the sheet between two engraved rollers.
High pressure forms the raised pattern permanently without cutting the metal.

• Pressure: 150–300 tons

• Depth: 0.3 – 1.2 mm (depending on pattern)

4. Stress Relief & Straightening

After embossing, the sheet may be slightly deformed.
It is flattened using a leveling machine to ensure dimensional accuracy.

5. Surface Finishing (Optional)

6. Protective Film & Cutting

Each sheet is covered with PVC protective film and cut to size by:

• Laser cutting

• Shearing

• Water jet cutting
