1. Breaking the Reliance on Imports
China has historically depended on imported high-end stainless steel for producing core equipment in high-end medical meltblown cloth production lines. These imports are costly and have long delivery times.
Panchangte’s SUS630 stainless steel, developed domestically, has achieved superior performance in China. It solves issues like cracking caused by high-temperature direct quenching, reducing reliance on imports. The first batch of equipment has already been exported, and additional SUS630 contracts are underway.
2. Characteristics of SUS630 Stainless Steel
SUS630 is a martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel, developed from the 18-8CrNi base. It is also called controlled phase change stainless steel.
Key Characteristics:
- High strength and hardness.
- Good welding performance.
- Excellent corrosion resistance, better than 4-series stainless steel.
- Strong resistance to water drops.
- More affordable than 316 stainless steel.
Its strength can be adjusted through heat treatment. The main strengthening methods include martensitic phase transformation and aging treatment, forming a precipitation-hardening phase.
Applications:
SUS630 is widely used in:
- The chemical fiber industry.
- Valves and shafts.
- High-strength parts requiring corrosion resistance.
3. Chemical Composition
SUS630 contains less than 0.1% carbon. Elements like copper, molybdenum, titanium, and aluminum are added. These form carbides and intermetallic compounds, further enhancing the strength of martensitic stainless steel.
