Fabrication Operations

Overview

Teda Metal operates an in-house fabrication facility equipped to produce bollards and architectural products from various austenitic stainless steel materials. Our engineering and fabrication teams work closely together to minimize errors and resolve issues quickly if they arise. We specialize in designing and fabricating stainless steel products for government, industrial, and commercial clients.

Fabrication Capabilities

Teda Metal’s fabrication operations accommodate both small-scale projects and large industrial, commercial, or governmental endeavors. Our facility features equipment for cutting, shearing, bending, rolling, and fabricating large metal sheets. We utilize a computer numerical control (CNC) laser cutter to accurately produce complex components. Precision CNC Plate Rolls and Press Brakes are employed to form bollards according to each customer’s unique design specifications and tolerances.

Precision Welding

Our welders are highly experienced in gas-tungsten arc welding (GTAW), commonly known as TIG or Heli-Arc.

Finishing Options

Teda Metal offers a wide range of surface finishes for bollards and architectural products. We tailor finishes to meet customer specifications and design requirements. Available options include glass bead, brushed, and electro-polished finishes. Our Engineering Department can provide recommendations for surface finishes based on specific applications.

Quality Assurance

Our Quality Assurance program ensures that all fabrication materials, components, and fasteners are tracked throughout the process. This includes verifying design specifications, sourcing materials from qualified vendors, and monitoring fabrication to ensure the correct materials are used. After welding, all welds are visually inspected by our trained inspectors. Teda Metal maintains records of all welding procedures, welder qualifications, and inspector qualifications.
