GRADE
Grade 441 (UNS S44100, DANS 1.4509) is dual-stabilized Ferritic stainless steel with 18% chrome, à faible émission de carbone. This grade exhibits good high temperature strength, exceeding that of grade 409L and 439 plus good corrosion resistance in many exhaust gas environments and good oxidation resistance at elevated temperatures.
Ferritic steels are not inherently strong at elevated temperatures, but columbium additions coupled with appropriate solution annealing markedly improve long-time creep rupture strength, and this makes it suitable for using in application in tube and automotive industries.
Grade 441 is dual stabilized with niobium and titanium to provide good weld ductility and resistance to intergranular corrosion in the weld heat affected zone, which can be formed using a wide range of roll forming, mild stretch-bending or common drawing operations.
